Course/Workshop Title: ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025 Internal Auditors
Course Description: This course gives the participants overviews of the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025 standards and the methods and skills needed for carrying out internal audits in the work place.
Course/Workshop Duration: 25 hours (5 hrs/day)
Course/Workshop Objectives:
  • Provide an introduction for ISO and quality management principles in the work place.
  • Enhance the participant’s understanding the general ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
  • Provide skills for carrying out internal audit processes as per ISO 9001:2008.
  • Provide an overview of ISO 17025 requirements
  • Provide basic understanding of best laboratory practices
  • Provide tools for internal audits and qualities of auditors as per ISO 17025.
Course/Workshop Importance: The course is very important for the application of internal auditing in any work-place environment as per the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025.
Lecture Strategy: Lecture materials will be presented using Microsoft PowerPoint. When possible a cooperative, participant-centered learning and discussion approach will be utilized to enable a high level of participant involvement.
Course Content: Introduction to ISO and quality management principles, auditing the QMS based on ISO 9001 requirements, internal audit processes as per ISO 9001:2008, best laboratory practices, overview of ISO 17025 requirements, internal audits and auditors qualities as per ISO 17025 standard.
