Course/Workshop Title: |
Engineering Project Management |
Course/Workshop Duration: |
30 Hours |
Course Overview: |
This course covers fundamentals of project management for engineers and technologists. It reviews project management framework in an organization and covers in-depth, the tools and techniques used in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing a project to achieve the goals of the project within schedule and budget constraints.
Engineering project examples are used to demonstrate the application of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) to engineering projects.
The course is fully aligned with the Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) PMBOK and can be tailored to meet SAPIC Requirements
Course provides an overview of project management framework including project life cycle, organizational aspects and project management standard. It covers all nine knowledge areas of project management as defined in the Fourth Edition of PMBOK Guide published by the Project Management Institute.
A practical “project based” teaching method is used to allow trainers to apply the project management principles and use the tools and techniques they learn throughout the course. The objective is also to cover issues of staff selection and team management.
